Welcome to 2020!
I wish you all a Happy New Year! It has been a fantastic 2019, and I cannot wait to start the new year in the same spirit. Last year has been very successful with new challenges, interesting projects and good business. All in all, things exceeded all expectations. Riding that wave I have back in November started to plan my goals for 2020. After I gave myself a calm and well-deserved break during the last 2 ½ weeks I cannot wait to proceed along the same lines.
LCA analysis
Focusing on Sustainable Product Development I have for the following months hired Nikolaos Tsiakmakis as an Intern. Nikolaos is an MSc in Environmental Engineering graduate. He will run Life Cycle Assessments on furniture projects. The results of an LCA analysis can be used to make better decisions regarding your sustainable company profile. Most of his time is already scheduled, but if you hurry up I can still provide some slots if you are interested in this opportunity. Write or call me for possibilities – mail@knecht.dk 0045 61 68 83 69
Customers / Projects
I have more and more regular customers, and I experienced that some new customers have found me through SEO. During the past year, the time I have dedicated to acquiring new customers and marketing had significantly reduced. I am sincerely grateful to all of you that have recommended me. I would like to highlight some interesting projects I have been working on:
• Chair that is part of the Danish Pavillon for the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 (Lendager Group / Visit Denmark)
• Project with “Zuiver” Furniture Brand in Holland/Amsterdam, together with the Dutch Designer Peter van de Water
• Several new releases throughout the year with the Danish Brand “&Tradition”
External Consultant at “Furntech”
I have signed an agreement with “Furntech”, the Danish Furniture Makers Quality Control. It is the world’s oldest voluntary control regime for furniture. I will serve the “Furntech” member brands with my knowledge as an external consultant. This will occupy about 15% of my time, meaning that I can serve my customers the same way as before.
Charity
After significantly increasing my turnover during 2019, I decided to allocate some of it to charity. The cause that I found most in alliance with my values was “SOS Børnebyerne”. The organization helps children and gives them the opportunity to grow up in a family that gives them love and security – whether it is in the child’s biological family or in a SOS family.
